Kerala State Transport Project II

KSTP ll – Post Construction Technical Audit for work packages under Component A1 and Safe corridor demonstration project under Component B.

Client : Project Management Team, KSPTP, Kerala Public Work Department.

• The project envisages the up gradation of 363 km of SH and MDR, Road Safety Management and Institutional Strengthening of PWD.
• The KSTP-ll has the following work components of Post construction Technical Audit to undertake functional & structural assessment of the constructed roads.
• Component A1: Road Improvement Works comprises of 9 construction packages of 280 km including a by-pass of 2.30 km.
• Component-B: Road Safety Corridor Demonstration
• Project (SCDP), the civil works for 80.25 km Kazhakuttom- Adoor Road Safety Corridor Demonstration Project (SCDP).

Scope of Work includes

• Review / Study of relevant base documents
• Review the post disaster need assessment
• (PDNA) reports
• Conduct a high-level vulnerability risk assessment of the project roads
• Verify records that all materials proposed by the Contractor
• Verify Calibration and certification data of test equipment
• Make a functional and structural assessment of the road pavement

Project Deliverables

The audit findings in the Audit reports as below:

• Non-Conformities including fraudulent practices, expenditures and failure to meet standards
• Observations on to improve asset quality and control procedures for remaining contract life
• Improvements required to meet approved design standards and specifications.
